After dinner service, the store finds two cases short on the book for a beer SKU. Open Inventory → Stock in the manager app, search by product name, then choose Inbound to receive goods or Adjust on the row to correct the book. Inventory references products and areas; it does not rename dishes, change catalog sell prices, or rebuild area structure.
What this page covers / does not cover
Covers
- Stock: search by product name for quantity, warning level, last cost, and status; use Adjust when the book needs a correction
- Inbound: scan or search, add draft lines, enter quantity and cost (optional sale price), then Save inbound
- Sales detail: quantity, amount, discount, and last sale time by product—useful for reconciling outbound vs sales
- Operator: taken from the signed-in manager account; read-only
This page does not cover
- Maintaining product names, prices, or tax rates inside Inventory (use Products)
- Maintaining area / warehouse structure here (use Areas)
- Treating Sales detail as a full order lifecycle, refund timeline, or fiscal audit (use store orders and the orders guide)
- Multi-warehouse transfer documents, stocktake locks, or recipe-based auto-deduction: if the current UI has no such entry, do not assume they exist
- A standalone purchasing menu or PO flow: if Inventory does not show a working purchase entry, do not operate as if it did

Stock: check first, then act
- Open Inventory → Stock.
- Type a product name, press Enter or Refresh.
- Read quantity, warning stock, last cost, and status.
- To correct the book, click Adjust, edit Current stock, Warning stock, and Last cost, set Stock status, add a note if needed, then Save.
- Operator shows the current login; do not try to type someone else’s name. If save fails, the dialog keeps your numbers—fix and try again; do not assume the list already changed.
If a product is missing: confirm it exists under Products. On Inbound, if you see Create inbound product, that dialog can open product setup; otherwise do not assume Inventory creates catalog masters. If a needed area/location is missing from your UI, maintain it under Areas first.
Inbound: draft and submit
- Open Inventory → Inbound.
- Scan a barcode/quick code or search by name, then Add. Keep one line per product on the same inbound document—duplicates are rejected.
- Quantity must be greater than 0; cost and optional sale price must be valid numbers ≥ 0.
- Optional Inbound note; Operator stays read-only.
- Click Save inbound. On success the draft clears and Inbound records show the document; on failure the draft remains so you can fix and retry.
Sales detail: reconciliation, not the full order
Open Inventory → Sales detail and search by product name for sales qty, amount, discount, and last sale time. Full refunds, voids, and fiscal ticket audit stay with store orders—see Orders and refunds.
