Test on a real trading day. Have your own shift use your menu, prices and devices from start-up through to close, with no salesperson coaching and no manager tapping for them. Record each step in one of three ways: passed, failed, or still unknown. A salesperson saying “it works,” or one success with coaching, does not count as passed.
Cover opening, the peak (merging tables, splitting bills, modifiers, mixed payments, printer faults and so on), failure drills run separately (do not assume there is an offline mode), and closing reconciliation with next-day records still in place.
