Frequently asked questions

Which five cost-and-exit items must be on one sheet—and are verbal “compatible / we support / we export” enough?

Put five items on one sheet: hardware models, role-based training, support windows, one-off and recurring costs, and export samples that still open after you leave. Verbal compatible/support/export is not enough.

When you switch POS, put five items on the same comparison sheet: hardware down to the model, and who to call when it fails; training by role and shift, using your own menu; support language, channel and hours, bearing in mind that a first reply is not the same as service restored; one-off and recurring costs, plus the disruption to trading; and export samples that still open and reconcile on your own PC after you leave the online system. A verbal “it’s compatible,” “we support that” or “you can export” is not enough to mark anything as verified.

Mark any blank cell “still unknown”; unknown does not mean “probably fine.” A good software quote does not mean all five items pass. For fees and downloads, see core POS free boundary and Pricing; to check whether a feature exists, see Features. The full five-item write-up: What to cost for a POS switch.
