Frequently asked questions

Can we check out offline? When does NTAK report?

Whether you can keep checking out offline depends on the modules and setup enabled in your store; NTAK report status is followed up once you are back online and synced. Offline checkout still needs a later sync, and none of this is a certification claim.

Yes, if your store has the relevant functions enabled. You can keep checking out while disconnected; NTAK reporting and statuses such as pending or submitted are followed up once the store is back online and data sync has finished. Do not read this as “stay offline, skip the sync, and still file formally.” Related features: kitchen and terminals, fiscal and NTAK; for who is responsible for what under the rules, see the roles FAQ.

Can we take payments offline?

Pricing and the kitchen-related feature page both list offline checkout and data sync among the core functions. Exactly which checkout actions still work while disconnected depends on the modules your store has enabled and how the site is set up. Offline checkout still has to sync once you reconnect; it is not a way to run offline indefinitely without syncing.

When does NTAK report?

On the fiscal and NTAK feature page you can see the report records and statuses shown in the software (for example pending or submitted), and where the owner follows them up. That follow-up happens once the store is online and sync has finished. We do not promise formal NTAK submission while offline, and we do not present the software as certified or guaranteed to pass inspection.

Is that the same as a legal e-cash register?

No. Catering POS is hospitality business software; a legal e-cash register (e-pénztárgép) is a different role. If unclear, read the roles FAQ.

What about split bills?

Split checks and mixed payments are part of checkout; see checkout, payments and receipts.
