Monday morning, accounting asks first: can cash and card still be selected, where packaging fee sits, and whether product forms picked up the new tax rate. Checkout depends on settlement master data, not sales talk.
In the manager app, start under System: check Currency list, Payment method list, Sales tax list, and Sales method list; put service and packaging fees under Surcharges. This page helps you prepare and verify those basics. Do not take payment here, change receipts on already-closed tickets, or expect this page to recalculate historical order tax. Do not treat NTAK formal reporting as a how-to on this page. How member discounts, stored value, or coupons finally land on the bill belongs with member marketing—settlement master data does not decide the final promotion.
Currencies and exchange rates
- Open System → Currency list and confirm the currencies you actually use (often HUF) are present.
- To add or edit attributes, use Currency setup: name, international currency code, symbol, decimals, and denominations. A wrong code can scramble amount display—double-check before saving.
- If you need conversion references, open Exchange rates. That page supports display and conversion; it is not your ledger result.
- After a successful save, glance at product or order screens for symbol and decimals. If save fails, the list should stay as-is—fix and try again; do not assume the till already changed.
Payment methods: channels, names, enabled state
- Open System → Payment method list.
- Confirm every channel you use in the shop (cash, card, and so on) is listed and enabled.
- To edit, open Payment method setup: maintain payment method name, type, pricing currency (leave empty to use the environment default), and enabled state. Keep display names aligned with front-of-house wording and guest receipts.
- If payment method setup shows switches for printing receipts, sending tax control, or sending NTAK (the section title follows whatever language your manager UI shows), follow the options your shop actually sees. If those switches are not visible, trust what is on the page—do not assume a fixed “hidden after refresh / temporary unlock” behaviour.
- After a successful save, product, order, and location pages can reference the latest options. On failure the list stays unchanged—do not assume “Save” reached the till.
Sales tax rates and sales methods
- Open System → Sales tax list and maintain percentage rates and tax symbols that product forms can reference.
- Changing a rate updates referenceable master data; it is not a bulk rewrite of tax on already-closed tickets.
- Treat the rates saved in your shop as the source of truth; do not assume the system auto-pulls or syncs a statutory table from the tax authority. After you save a rate here, reopen the product form to confirm the options updated.
- Open Sales method list and confirm dine-in / takeaway (and similar) names, linked tax rates, and attached surcharges match your shop. Sales methods reference surcharges; member discount rules are not decided here.
Surcharges: service fee, packaging fee, and similar
- Open Surcharges and review status and how each fee applies.
- To create or edit, use Surcharge setup: name, pricing type, auto vs manual, tax rate, and status.
- If a fee is missing at checkout: confirm it is enabled, then check whether the product or sales method references it (references live on the product / sales-method side—they do not appear automatically from the surcharge list alone).
